Happy Carnival 2020 From Mardi Gras Designs 

January 6th is the start of Carnival Season. It is the Epiphany, a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ and the end of the Christmas Season (traditionally time to take down your Christmas tree). Carnival officially ends at midnight on Shrove / Fat Tuesday and Lent begins Ash Wednesday. 

This Year Shrove/Fat Tuesday (MARDI GRAS DAY!) is Febrauary 25th, Ash Wednesday is February 26th.  Ash Wednesday is exactly 46 days before Easter Sunday, a moveable feast based on the cycles of the moon.
