“I’m honored to display my work in this fantastic Collection of The History and Artistry of Gay Carnival in New Orleans. Having the Opportunity to Show my work along side several Designers I have admired during the course of my artistic career is an Amazing Feeling.”

"Anubis" as Part of The History and Artistry of Gay Carnival in New Orleans at The Presbytére

I remember very clearly a Krewe Member of Amon-Ra having a fuss about my name being displayed publicly as a contact for ball tickets the first time I was on the Board.  How he feared for me.  Now, not so many years later, Wayne and the Louisiana State Museum – Presbytére are recogning Gay Mardi Gras.  I’m honored to display my work along side several designers I have admired during the course of my artistic career.

I designed and wore the “Anubis” costume as the Krewe of Amon-Ra’s, 50th Captain in 2015.  I chose an Egyptian ball theme “The Weighing of the Heart (Final Judgement)”.   My costume and designs are included in the exhibit “Grand Illusions: The History and Artistry of Gay Carnival in New Orleans” Exhibit at The Louisiana State Museum – Presbytère in Jackson Square.  The Exhibit runs June 6, 2019 to December 6, 2020
